Este álbum é o mais coeso da banda, com Pete Townshend abusando de sintetizadores e do seu dom único de tocar guitarra pra caralho, Roger Daltrey cantando como nunca e a maior cozinha da historia do rock, composta por Jonh Entwistle no baixo e o destruidor de baterias Keith " The Animal" Moon acabando com tudo. O álbum inicialmente seria mais uma opera-rock de Townshend, com temas sci-fi, mas ele resolveu simplesmente fazer um disco de rock, que representa a obra-prima desta incrivel banda. " Baba O´Rilley", "Bargain", "My Wife" e "Won´t get Folled Again" são os destaques.
